Juconi's Methodology |
![]() |
| JUCONI’s methods have been used to help children in Afghanistan, Brazil, Chile, Mexico and South Africa. This stems from the formation of positive bonds (confidence, respect and attachment) between child, parents and other adults in the home that we develop during the initial contact with them. These bonds are the secure foundation which underpins the whole process of individual and family care, which opens the door to tackling with the child and adults in the home the different traumatic, emotional experiences which have impacted negatively on them, and have affected their positive development as people. To facilitate their expression and to process these experiences with the child and his/her family means opening and helping to heal emotional wounds, as well as allowing them to understand the causes of the problem, without apportioning blame. It also means identifying their strengths and abilities, and facilitating a process which allows them to envisage a distinct future for each one, child, adult, and whole family. |
