This integrated, family-based approach has achieved notable success
in breaking the negative family cycles that push repeated generations of
children onto the streets.
Through co-ordinated action at the individual, family, and community
level, street-working children are empowered to make positive and
sustainable changes to secure a better and safer future.
One of Juconi's principal aims is to get working children off the
street and into formal education. Many have never had the opportunity to go
to school, and even those who have have found themselves struggling so much
that they dropped out in the early stages of their education.
